On the 12th August 2017 team Sage Joan headed to The Bell Inn in Hampshire for one of our best friends weddings. Stacey got engaged in front of the northern lights a little over 18 months before – and we were beyond excited to be heading to her big day. The Bell Inn is nestled just off the M27 near Lyndhurst in the New Forest. It’s the epitome of the New Forest with it’s open fires, large outside garden and gorgeous country decor. It was so beautiful we wanted to share the stunning flowers, incredible food & a few snaps of us too in a cheeky little blog post.
The cake was a stunning red velvet & carrot cake two tier creation by Jemima Cakes. Adorned with flowers from Stacey’s bouquet it was just perfect. Not only is it beautiful – we can confirm it also tasted incredible.
Our starter was a delicious smoked salmon cannelloni – cream cheese wrapped in smoked salmon with a beetroot puree garnished with grapefruit segments – just beautiful.
Our main course was sea-bass on a bed of pea risotto garnished with parmesan shavings & rocket. All plates were left clean after this course it was the perfect summertime lunch.
Finally the Bell Inn is dog friendly – which was just perfect as Belle the sausage had come along for the evening party. A dog bowl, bag of treats & doggy blanket were left outside the room ready for Belle’s arrival – we were blown away by how accommodating and lovely the staff were for the little pup. We will definitely be heading back when our very own dogs arrive.
